Valentina Mushinskaya’s Russian Language School in Crimea offers you the chance to learn Russian while staying in beautiful Crimea . The school is situated in the village of Samota , with the white granite summit of
Mt Ai-Petri on one side, and the sparkling blue of the Black Sea on the other. The village is a short walk from the little resort of Miskhor, and a short drive from Yalta . Learn Russian in the morning and then tour Crimea in the afternoon – or just relax on the beach. If you need a day to visit somewhere further away, just let Valentina know – the school is very flexible. Guided excursions can be arranged for groups and individuals.

The school is unique in being able to offer accommodation on-site. Students stay in comfortable, modern en-suite rooms in the same building as the classes, and home-cooked meals are provided in the dining-room. Most of the vegetables are grown in the school’s own kitchen garden. The atmosphere is a bit like a British bed and breakfast, but the food is pure Crimean and the language is definitely Russian!

Classes are informal and take place either inside or in a shady place in the garden. Tutors are experienced staff from the university in Simferopol who are accustomed to teaching Russian to visitors from abroad. Valentina first began teaching Russian to staff from the Swiss embassy in 1990 and students have been coming in growing numbers both from organisations and on an individual basis ever since.
